What does the word FADG at the end of my name stand for? FAGD is an acronym for Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry.
What is the Academy of General Dentistry? Well, the Academy of General Dentistry or simply the AGD is a certified association for general dentists which I have been dynamically involved in for over twelve years. It is the lone organization solely dedicated to representing the interests & serving wishes of general dentists, like myself.
Why is Fellowship essential? A Fellowship is significant because dentist’s who have established their FAGD offer his or even her patient’s cutting-edge care. I finished over 500 hours of continuing education in a variety of disciplines and then passed a thorough examination. It was not simple, but was worth it to guarantee my patients are getting the most outstanding care available.
How many dentists do this? Only 7 percent of practicing dentists in the United States and Canada have earned this respect.
How long does it take to receive an FAGD? It varies based on individual availability to take the exceptional courses & exam. For me, it took ten years to achieve Fellowship.
I was one of the lucky general dentists who received the Fellowship Award in Pearland. There are a total of 14,535 AGD Fellows throughout the United States and Canada.

FADG Dentist: General Dentistry Services
Sometimes even our best attempts to keep our teeth and gums healthy result in the loss of teeth or tooth structure. Fillings, Extractions, and other general dentistry procedures may be necessary to maintain overall dental health.
Tooth Fillings & Extractions
Fillings
We have almost eliminated the use of amalgam (silver) fillings. Every part of of our direct fillings is done with direct bonded composite resin that strengthens the tooth and offers an esthetic, usually imperceptible, restoration. We too do indirect ceramic inlays & onlays when ultimate esthetics, strength, and longevity are preferred.
Extractions
Dr Trinh-Pham does extractions & surgical removal of teeth when restoration is not practical or likely or as part of a restorative treatment plan.
