Daktacort includes two main ingredients Hydrocortisone and miconazole. Hydrocortisone also known as corticosteroid. Corticosteroids is a hormone that is naturally produced by the adrenal glands including functions of control of inflammatory responses. Hydrocortisone helps in decreasing redness/burning sensation of the skin like dermatitis and eczema. It provides a great relief from itching, puffiness, redness and swelling. Before applying the Daktacort cream, wash and pat dry the skin gently.
The affected area of the skin should be applied with the Daktacort cream thinly and evenly by rubbing it gently
Dont forget to wash the hands after applying the cream
The cream should not be used as a moisturizer
Should only be used as external use on the affected areas of the skin.
If the cream comes in contact with eyes, nose, mouth, rinse with cold water.
The affected skin area should not be covered with bandages or other air tight dressings.
The cream should be stored in the freezer at 2-8° C. The cream can also be kept at room temperature i.e., at or below 25° C.
