Male Breast Augmentation For Great Pecs
Men are having their own sort of breast augmentation in which they are having pectoral implants inserted to give the appearance of musculature.
Women often turn to cosmetic surgery for the bodies they have always wanted. They have received a lot of joy and success out of the surgical solutions to their aesthetic problems. They have face-lifts and Botox in droves. It has gotten to the point where these procedures are more accepted than ever before. As a result there are more and more men coming to doctors looking to have surgery. A very popular choice is having male breast augmentation.
When people think of breast augmentation they think of women having implants for fuller,
rounder bosoms. While some men want those results, usually male to female transsexuals or famously a man on a bet, it is more commonly pectoral implants that guys want. They are seeking a masculine muscular look without the work and strain of working out.
Breast augmentation for men utilizes a solid silicone material unlike the female type which are simply silicone bags filled with saline or silicone gel. There is no way for the material to leak or leach into the body. The goal is to make it look like the man has high and firm pectoral muscles.
Just like female breast augmentation, the implants come in many sizes to most naturally and appropriately suit the man receiving them. They can be used to create a subtle effect or something more dramatic. First the patient is sedated or more often than not placed under general anesthesia. Then the doctor makes an incision below the pectoral muscles. Afterward he forms a pocket beneath the muscle. This pocket is then used to hold the implants that he inserts and adjusts to align correctly. Finally he stitches the patient up and dresses the wound to make sure that everything is ready to heal correctly.
This is a relatively new procedure that has not received widespread adoption. Several thousand men have it a year, but that is nothing compared to the number of women having breast augmentation. Still, as the results improve and people begin seeing how fantastic they can look it is spreading slowly but surely.
If it is even a consideration to have pectoral implants the first thing to do is to make an appointment with a plastic surgeon. They will be able to go over your options and make some suggestions for treatment. They will also explain what is necessary before the operation. Many surgeons insist on their patients getting in peak physical shape before undergoing surgery. This does not mean getting a chiseled body but rather quitting smoking, eating right, and having a manageable weight. They will also want to have their patient have a physical to make sure that high blood pressure or other potentially complications are not going to make the procedure more difficult.
