This technique uses a lesser amount of grafts than is used with Strip Harvesting and Follicular Unit Transplantation. It has been proven to be more effective.

Hair transplantation,Steps For Hair transplantation Articles often called 'body sculpting surgery is a type of cosmetic surgery that is used to reduce hair loss for females and males. The procedure involves taking hair from one part within the body (the donor site) and transferring it to the site of recipient. The procedure involves removal of the skin from that is where hair was to be transplanted, and is usually very successful.

The method of hair transplantation can be classified into three fundamental methods. The first is Follicular Unit Extraction or more commonly FUE, method. This procedure involves tiny skin plugs have been removed from site of recipient by removing the hair follicles. The hair follicles are surgically removed, and the skin is closed up.

The second procedure is known as Follicular Unit Strip Harvesting or PIN. In this method, tiny skin grafts are removed from the site of recipient and then implanted into small strips on the scalp. Strips are then removed when they have developed fully and then the grafts are placed. The grafts could require replacement several times due to the fact that they need to develop. As they develop the scar tissue develops around them.

The third procedure is known by the name autologous fat transfer. This procedure involves the use of extra fat from another area of your body is collected and then transferred to your scalp. The grafts are sourced from your body or from a donor, or using a tool for fat extraction. The process is more complex than Strip Harvesting because the fat needs to be extracted from a source that is not compatible with the skin. The process will take a few weeks as the autologous grafts need to undergo various procedures before they are able to be placed on the scalp of the donor.

The fourth procedure is also referred to by the name of the local unit of anesthesia transplantation, or the LAS transplant surgery. In this method, general anesthesia is utilized. One graft is removed at a time , while your scalp gets opened up to allow for the procedure.

The fifth and last step of Strip Harvesting referred to as Follicular Unit Transplantation (fut). This procedure involves the entire follicular unit is taken and the scalp is open to allow the follicle regenerate. Once the follicular unit has been transplanted, the hair will begin to expand. Because this procedure requires anesthesia, it can be more costly than previous procedures, and could need to be done under local anesthesia.
