There’s a real problem in the world today if children would rather spend time watching television than hanging out with their dads. I know my dad took me out to all sorts of things and we worked side by side for many years.
We spent our fair amount of time in front of the television set, but that was after a hard day of building the fence, digging post holes, working in the garden, lifting up iron and welding in the machine shop or just out fishing and hunting.
My dad and I did a lot of things together and I thank him sincerely from the bottom of my heart for making me a hard worker who doesn’t thrive behind watching television and being a complete slouch.
