We hear all the hype about working from home,Can You Afford Not to Work at Home? Articles but can you afford to leave your9-5 job?  Will your family survive without your paycheck? Is it possible for a realnovice to make an income while working from home?

Let's go back to the beginning.  A time when we were told  the only way to provide financially for our family was by being employed in the corporate world.

This world is not always the most pleasant place to reside.  You know all about the boss that takes you for granted. You work for years for the same boss, going above and beyond  what is required. You give your all to “the company” hoping that your efforts will be rewarded.

But will your efforts be rewarded? You can not depend on the corporate world to provide for you or your family. This has become your responsibility.  So many companies are now downsizing or closing completely.

Just because you have worked many years for a company does not guarantee you continued employment.  You could find yourself unemployed without notice. Companies no longer feel an obligation to their employees. The choice may not be yours on when you leave your 9-5 job.  You could find yourself without employment before the day is over.  It is still amazing at the number of people who fool themselves into believing their future is secure.

Now think of the great entrepreneurs of the world.  Did they rely on someone else to provide their security.  NO!  They found their niche and worked for themselves.

So, it all comes down to having faith in yourself. Or would you rather rely on someone that really doesn't care about you or your needs.

The success of my business is totally my responsibility. I get out of it whatever I put in to it, and that is a great feeling. I am in control, I make my own decisions. I do not punch a time clock or answer to a boss.  No one will ever tell me my services are no longer needed.

If you received your pink slip tomorrow, could your family still manage? Would there be utter chaos in your home if you no longer received a weekly paycheck?

I know I can not afford NOT to work at home. Can you?
