Now,How To Make Working From Home Easier Articles unfortunately, with coronavirus (COVID-19) there are many millions of people working from home.  Some will hate it and some will find it suits them perfectly.

Ideally, you need a quiet, comfortable space that is your home office.  In some cases, you may have a home office room or a spare room with a desk and computer in the corner.  For many of the people who have found themselves working from home unexpectedly due to coronavirus, their office may be sitting at a laptop at the kitchen or dining room table.

We can’t tell you how to do your job at home but what we do know from previous clients is that you need an area where your computer screen and desk aren’t blinded by sunlight.  The best way to do that is to install window blinds. Yes, you can shut your curtains but who wants to sit in the dark with only electric light on a beautiful sunny day.

At Forth Blinds, we supply and fit a wide range of made-to-measure window blinds. We can supply the perfect blinds to suit your home décor and meet your requirements.

Benefits of Home Office Blinds Roller Blinds

Roller blinds are easy to fit and are available in hundreds of colours and patterns. We can even supply environmentally friendly blinds or personalised printed blinds. When the sunlight is not on your screen you can roll the blind up so you can see outside and get the benefits of daylight. As the sun moves around and starts to shine into your room you can gradually roll them down but still get some sunlight.

Venetian Blinds

Venetian blinds are horizontal slatted blinds. The slats can be made from PVC, aluminium or wood and they are also available in many colours. For blocking sun glare, they are extremely flexible. As with roller blinds, they can be pulled down covering the whole window, or just pulled partway down.

However, they have the additional benefit of being able to move the horizontal slats. You can angle them so that you get some daylight in your room but prevent the glare on your work area.

If you have uPVC windows, you can install Perfect Fit Venetian blinds which have the benefit of no dangling cords. Not only do they look very slick and tidy but they are much safer if you have young children.

Vertical Blinds

Vertical blinds have a similar look to Venetian blinds with the exception that their louvres are vertical instead of horizontal. They are ideal for tall windows but can be used in any size of window.

As with Venetian Blinds, they are excellent for shading your room for the exact amount you wish as the blind can be opened, closed or closed with the louvres tilted.
