Have you ever had a dream that seemed like it would never come true?

You thought about it endlessly,Make Room For The Good Stuff Articles talked about it to anyone who would listen and even went as far as writing it out every day and posting pictures representing it all around your home?

What you may not know is your dream could be waiting on the other side of the door, knocking loudly, and although you call out to let it know you're there, it can't get through because it's blocked by years of clutter and baggage you refuse to let go of.

Sometimes this clutter is physical. Sometimes it's mental.

Either way, they take up valuable space that makes it impossible for the good stuff to get in.

Say for example you want to find a loving partner. You have a picture in your mind of your ideal mate and envision what your life would be like.

Then immediately after envisioning this possible future, the screen of your mind flashes to your ex -- that SOB or succubus who did you wrong, wasted years of your life, ripped your heart out and stomped on it until there was only a faint pulse remaining.

Every time you imagine what you want then finish the thought with hurtful pictures of the past and the feelings that come with them, it's like opening the window to let the warm breeze in, then slamming it shut seconds afterwards, to keep the cold musty air from escaping.

How might this apply to your home business?

Say, for example, you want to attract new customers who will value what you provide, pay you what you deserve and be absolute joys to work with.

You envision the perfect customer calling to place an order or make an appointment. He thanks you for your product or service and tells you how much of a difference it has made in his life. He buys gift certificates for his friends and family so he can share the benefits.

Then, as you wrap up your vision with a smile on your face, your mind flashes to that one customer from hell who almost caused you to pack up your business and walk away from it all.

Your thoughts (and physical surroundings) have a powerful impact on what you allow into your life and business.

Here are a few more examples of what could be blocking your allowing of the things you desire:

- you want clients who will pay more for your services, but are not willing to let go of the ones who take up all of your time while paying you very little

- you want to become better at marketing your business, but refuse to give up the ten hours of television you watch every week

- you want to be more organized and structured in your business, but won't take the time to clear out the clutter and get rid of things that don't serve you

- you're working to break free of your job and are building your business part-time, but spend most of your waking life complaining about how much you hate your boss or co-workers

- you want a more professional wardrobe, but your closets are so packed with clothes you never wear that it's a battle every time you try to pull out a hangar

- you want to attract more money into your life, but you haven't balanced your checkbook in years, filed your taxes or closed dormant accounts

If you want to attract certain events, people and things into your life, you will need to take a leap of faith and trust that what you want will come.

By holding onto unnecessary thoughts and articles, and leaving things incomplete, you're subconsciously relaying the message that you don't trust you will receive that which you desire so why clear a path?

As you contemplate your dreams for the future, take a moment to reflect on the thoughts you repeatedly think, the conversations you continuously have and your physical surroundings.

Have you created room for the things you want to attract?

The key is faith. Relinquish old attachments. Step through the fear and make way for the good to come into your life. It's patiently waiting for you to open the window to let it flow in.
