You can check out reason #1 here.As one gets older you have a tendency to see life zipping by at an ever faster rate of speed and start realizing that you either have not accomplished much or that you just are not getting where you want to be.Without going into a goal setting diatribe, let me just say that it can make a person angry when he realizes what activities are just simply a waste of not just time, but your life. Try it yourself. The next time you say to yourself "this is a waste of time", say instead "this is a waste of my life". Notice the difference?I began to notice that I was wasting too much of my life just driving around.The consulting business has been changing in recent years for me. In the late nineties, clients had we working at projects on site for hours at a time, sometimes all day. One particular client had me occupying a desk there almost every afternoon for 4 to 5 hours.That kind of work limited travel.Today, what cannot be done remotely can many times be accomplished in an hour or less; that means more travel between jobs. Stimulus money and years of neglected roads and bridges means more construction and construction delays.The way my state works it, put up cones and barricades in April just in case we get around to it this year. They try to get them taken down before the first snow flies.Add to that the proliferation of cell phones and rude, inconsiderate and dangerous people more than willing to engage in lengthy conversations or texting while driving and you have a large number of drivers who are oblivious to the fact that they are 5 miles per hour or more under the speed limit with a large following behind them. Maybe they just think they are popular.These folks always speed up just in time so that THEY make the yellow light and everyone else has to wait. Once I found out about internet marketing where I could work online from home I began to realize I could be doing something useful with my life. I knew I needed to learn how to make money online, and the quicker the better.Yes, at times I do enjoy driving and I have a nice vehicle. While it does have over 200,000 miles on it, what is left of the auto industry does not have much to appeal to my tastes in vehicles. A few years ago I upgraded the stereo which now has a USB plug in so I can listen to my favorite music instead of the idiots that make up morning shows on the airwaves.I feel bad for the people who have to be at work from 8am until 5pm and deal with the commuting congestion and the inconsiderate drivers who add to the delays.
