About rc car model repairing with quality glue

You can fix an rc car without worrying. Yet, you might as well need to gather some items. It is usually 2-component epoxy resin and hardener. When mixture begins to harden you need to focus. It is very important to achieve a homogeneous mixture so that its properties are uniform.

Epoxy adhesives may be good. This is one of the most powerful glues. Such is sold depending on the curing time. Some are super fast (dry in 2 to 3 minutes) and slow curing (over 1 hour). We must analyze our project to know which to choose. Also you always need both, since for small rc car areas it is very tedious to have to wait a long time, while for large surfaces, it is impossible to glue in full before it hardens.

This glue can be used to bond foam, even if the surfaces are very large it is not recommended because of its high weight. One major problem is its weight. To solve this problem using "micro balloons" which are ceramic microspheres, glass or some light material, which increases its volume without increasing its weight. For mixing, use the slow epoxy. Proceed by applying it onto rc car and let stand a few minutes to ensure it will fit well. It is advisable to add a few drops of alcohol to the mix it is not too thick.

It can be used to fill or make parts as it has the power to be machined, sanded and painted without failure in its structure.  Keep in mind that to dilute the epoxy must be added to drops of alcohol, never more than 4 or 5 drops.

Note that the epoxy adhesive curing speed varies depending on temperature. At higher temperatures it dries faster, but has less resistance and firmness. During the winter you  might as well leave a few minutes in double boiler pots, and try to take certain temperature (not to be greater than 30 degrees at all), as if too cold, the material becomes more complicated, thus a viscous mix.

Styrofoam glue is also suitable. This glue is exclusively for bonding polystyrene, which is the plastic which are made most of the models (models). Keep in mind that the shape of which is melting the plastic paste which is applied and so get a perfect weld. Excess must be removed very quickly, because as we said, melting the plastic acts, and if we end up eating a lot of time the plastic leaving irreparable damage.

When fixing an rc car, we must pay close attention and not confuse polystyrene expanded polystyrene, as this takes away literally glue the latter material. Nor is it advisable to stick transparent plastic because it releases fumes that can get dirty.
