Decorating the Summer Kitchen

An all white kitchen offers sunshine and brightness all year round! In the summer months decorate with the essence of the season. Large bowls of fruit and baskets of watermelons. Extra large pots of sunflowers and bouquets of wildflowers. Remove your area rugs so that you can feel the cool floor under your bare feet. An island filled with baskets of large tomatoes, fresh green beans and cucumbers is all that you need to make a stunning, eye appealing arrangement. Place a large willow basket of fresh picked corn just outside your back door. This idea not only makes for an edible centerpiece but it forces us to eat healthier this time of year. It is all-good! We should look at our own kitchens in a new light at this time of year. Just as in the Fall we bring in groupings of pumpkins and gourds we should also use the same concept, I believe, for each season. This makes for interest as we transition from one season to the next.
