Electric Pressure Washers are Great for Many Jobs

Electric pressure washers do an amazing amount of work for you. Whether you are using one around the house or on the job, this is a piece of equipment you will never regret purchasing. By opting for electric, you don't have to worry about stinky gasoline. Nor the mess or danger that gas brings.

It could be argued that gas allows you more portability than electric pressure washers, but I've found that to be somewhat of a stretch. In practical terms, an electric unit gives you all the power you could ever want and none of the downside of gas. Anywhere you may want to use one of these units usually has a convenient power source to plug into. I can't think of any time I've ever needed to do a job with a pressure washer where I couldn't because of the type I had.

When you first use electric pressure washers you need to be aware that these can be damaging, even dangerous, if not used properly. Be sure to read, understand, and follow all safety and use instructions that are included with your washer. These will inform you of things you may not have thought about. Basically, if you treat it as the power tool that it is you should not have any problems. The business end of things is the wand that attaches to the motor. This is where all the fun happens. Don't point it at people or things that you don't want to hurt. This is not to say that you should ever point it at people you do want to harm. Seriously though, just be careful. The water that comes out of the nozzle is under extremely high pressure and can do some serious damage if you aren't careful.

The first time I used electric pressure washers was when I had to clean about 30 years of dirt and grime off of some white brick on a house. I was both shocked and delighted to see how the grime just blasted away. If I got too close to the surface it would actually blow some of the brick away. Before long I had the feel of what distance was best for cleaning the brick. The job went smooth and at the end I was truly impressed with what that tool did for me. Without it, I don't think I could have got anywhere near the results I did. Scrubbing by hand is for the birds, and wouldn't get it as clean anyway. There is just something about pressurized water that really gets into all the nooks and crannies that nothing else would do.

Another thing worth a brief mention is that, like gas units, electric pressure washers come with different types of nozzles. These are generally color coded. They have different spray patterns and allow you options depending on what you are cleaning. If you are blasting away at a concrete sidewalk you will require a different nozzle than if you are cleaning the tires on your car. So, for big jobs or small, electric pressure washers are a great way to go. You will probably be surprised how often yours gets used.
