Never buy used supplies, as you can never be sure about what you're getting. While you can find amazing deals online, you need to be careful about who you order from. Make sure the store (whether online or in a brick and mortar establishment) has a good reputation and there are plenty of customers who can attest to their quality. Once you've found a shop you think you can trust, here are some things to get specific about.

Use OEM Quality Parts
You don't always have to get your electrical equipment directly from the original manufacturer. In fact, there are some companies out there making aftermarket parts that meet or exceed the original quality for a much better price. That said, you need to make sure your parts meet those OEM specifications before you buy them. Even a good shop will often carry parts that are of varying levels of quality. They want to meet every customer's price point, after all. It's up to you to do your research and make sure you know what you're getting when you make a purchase.
