After you have decided and purchased a small bathroom sink you will want to be sure to install it properly.  There are several ways to install different kinds of bathroom sinks.  Always make sure that you have the proper tools and plumbing equipment needed before you begin.  For a small vanity sink,Installing a Small Bathroom Sink Articles check your measurements before you start.  You will need to check for a template for the sink.  If one is not provided with the sink, you will need to turn the basin upside down and draw your template.  You will need to use a flat bit to drill a hole big enough for your jig saw.  Then you can score your cutting line, insert your jig saw blade and cut the hole for the worktop surface.  Check the hole to see if you need to make any adjustments before you place your sink into the vanity.  You will need to place sealing tape around the outside of the hole and then you can push the sink top down firmly until it is in position, make sure there is a tight seal.  After you have placed your sink top, you can tighten up your fittings after you have checked your level to make sure it is evenly placed. For a pedestal sink, place your sink top on the base and make sure it is level before you begin. You will need to make the wall through the fitting holes.  You can now remove the sink from the base and drill and plug your holes.  Then you will need to place the sink on the pedestal, place it close to the desired position, attaching all of the plumbing pipes and fittings.  You can now position the pedestal sink into place and screw the basin into the wall and the pedestal base into the floor. For a wall hung sink, you will need someone to help you hold the sink into position.  You should mark the fitting position on the wall beforehand.  Your bracket should be fixed securely into place with an adjustable hook placed over the bolt heads or screws.  Then you can put the basin on and begin attaching the fittings.Installing a small bathroom sink is not very difficult but you do have to make sure you have everything ready to install and have all of your tools and fittings ready to be placed.  Having someone to help you can cut down on some of the installation time.  Do make sure that you have measured and leveled everything off before screwing the final bolts and screws into place.  It is fairly an easy project to do and it can make your small bathroom look brand new.  It is an easy fix especially if you are looking to remodel your bathroom a little at a time. Placing a new small bathroom sink is an easy way to get started, especially if on a tight budget.  Bathroom sinks are fairly inexpensive and look really great when installed properly.
