There are various options in rubbish containers and dumpster rental. Here are some things to think about.
When there’s lots of trash to haul away,
a dumpster rental or some alternative to the average household garbage can will be needed. This is especially true if a new home is being built, an older house is being remodeled, landscaping projects are underway or a demolition is taking place. There are various containers which might be more appropriate for certain jobs than others. Here are some things to think about:
- New house or office building: When new construction takes place, there will still be lots of debris that a normal sized trashcan won’t be able to handle. Many people might be surprised at this, thinking all new materials are being brought it so what’s to throw away?
During a construction project, lots of materials will be trucked in such as boards, trusses, roofing material, appliances and more. These items will be sawed and cut, configured until they are the shape intended by the architectural drawings. The scraps that are remaining will need to be tossed and will be way too cumbersome and large to dispose of without a dumpster. Also, on a new lot, there will be clearing and leveling of the terrain that must be done. The cleared brush, rock, etc. will need to be disposed of in a large roll-away.
- Remodels and demolitions: If old structures are being torn down, such as roofs, walls and appliances, a roll-away will be required to handle the throwaways. New building material scraps for the remodel will need to be disposed of properly, too.
- Landscaping projects: Mature trees and bushes need to be pruned on a regular basis to keep them tidy looking and healthy. If branches and overgrowth gets out of hand, breakage may occur and cause harm to the plants. Sawing off large branches and sculpting shrubbery will require a large trash container such as a dumpster.
- Standard roll-away: These come in a variety of sizes to suit the project. Options are 20 yard, 30 yard and 40 yard containers. These products are brought to the site on a semi truck, left at the location and emptied as needed. They can only hold a certain amount of weight so will need to be emptied accordingly. If too much poundage is loaded in, the truck won’t be able to haul it.
- Bagsters: Waste management companies have developed a heavy duty bag-like dumpster. A homeowner can pick the receptacle up himself or herself. It’s made from a durable woven fabric that’s easy to move but is very strong and large. A bag can hold more than 3,000 pounds. Its eight feet long and four feet wide. When the bag is full, a trash company can remove it from the premises.
- Haul away services: If a person doesn’t want a dumpster or bag on their property for a project, he or she can hire a junk removal service to come haul it all away. Some services are similar to a mobile dumpster truck.
For projects such as new construction, remodeling, demolition, or landscaping, a regular household garbage-can won’t do. Some sort of dumpster rental or haul-away service will do the trick.
