One of the greatest rooms to remodel when you don't want to spend a lot of money is the bathroom. Start with the guest bathroom and do something as easy as retiling the floors. I know that it sounds like a huge job - but it is actually easy when you understand what tiles you want to use and have each of the essential supplies on hand.To begin you should remove the old tiles using a chisel. This will be the toughest portion of the job. Carefully pull the chisel beneath each tile and hammer it in until the piece moves. When it does you will be able to take it off and drop it in the garbage bag. When they are all removed you will need to produce a smooth surface for the brand new ones that you will lie down on. Find a good grease cleaner and put it on the floor. This will take away all of the grease that came from the old flooring so that the new one will be able to bond when you set them down.Pick out what new design you would like to use by visiting your localized home department store. They will be able to give you prices and will cut them to what they should be. You can also cut them yourself by renting a wet saw or a tile cutter. You need to be very meticulous with your measurements or you can mess the entire thing up and have to begin again.Put down the bathroom tiles to determine how they fit together and if you really want to utilize the design. When you are ready apply adhesive to the floor using a notched trowel. Allow the adhesive to sit for two minutes before you lay down the flooring. Press down hard so that it sticks and apply the grout. Clean the bathroom tiles when you are finished.
