Trash Removal Company - Questions to Ask
Everyone has trash, and everyone needs to get rid of it. That is where a trash removal company comes in. They can help you with this problem.
It’s inevitable: we all produce trash. No one likes it,
no one wants to keep it around. You need to find a way to get rid of it. Trash removal companies specialize in the removal of trash and garbage from your property. However, you may be faced with a decision to be made regarding which trash removal company to actually give this task to. We are constantly hearing radio advertisements and TV commercials for a variety of different companies, so how can we possibly know which one to choose? Whether you are renovating your home, or need to hire someone for the long term, there are several different questions you need to ask a company in order to make sure they are the best one for your job.
What is your pricing structure? – This question may seem to be in the forefront of your mind, but for some people, they just forget to ask this very obvious question. Every trash removal company is going to charge differently, so it is important to ask. Some will charge by the load, others will charge by the number of trips they have to make and some companies will charge by weight. If you are going to be throwing out a lot of heavy items, make sure that the company will take them. Some will not dispose of items that are over a certain weight.
What forms of payment do you accept? – If you want to pay by credit card, make sure that the company can accept them. If you are reserving this for a business, make sure that the trash removal company does invoicing for businesses, as most will. At this time, you will also want to find out how much you need to pay in advance.
Is cleanup included in the price? – Though a company that handles the physical trash removal will take the trash away, you could be left with a considerable mess to clean up on your own. Often, the company will remove all of the garbage, but some debris gets left behind. If you do not check with the company, there is a good chance that they will tell you they are not responsible for clean-up. So, make sure that you ask them this and hold them accountable if necessary.
What items will you take? – Most of the trash removal companies you call will tell you that they will take just about anything, while others will have restrictions that limit the items that they can dispose of. If you have any items that are usually difficult to trash (i.e. chemicals, paint, tires, batteries, etc.) make sure that you know if they can be disposed of through the company.
Do you have a license and insurance? – When choosing a trash removal company, you want to make sure that you are working with someone who will get the job done correctly. Reputable companies will carry the right permits and insurance. This is really a difference maker between a shady company and one who has a good reputation for a good reason. This is a question that must be asked!
