It uses a loom of massive size which is arranged in such a way to weave the bobbins of the carpet yarn with backing. They give good luxury and a greater performance during usage.

Next to the machine oven production, the industries are now using the tufted carpet manufacturing technique. The manufacturing time of the tufted carpet is much more less than the manufacturing time of the traditional methods. This is the only reason for people relying on these tufted carpets now days.

The tufted carpet has many varieties and some important ones are twist pile, velvet pile and the loop pile carpets. Twisted pile is nothing but one or more fibers are twisted to form a single fiber making carpet. The velvet pile carpets are so smooth and are very luxurious to move with. As the name indicates, they have a velvet appearance. The loop pile carpets are a bit hard to use with a lot of good textures.

Fiber bonding method can also be used to make a carpet. In this method, the carpets are manufactured by making the fibers to stick together to the backing making them smooth and soft. They appear in carpet tile form.

Finally comes the hand knotted carpets which are of high quality finish because of the experience of the weaver. This has one disadvantage of the ensuring life time of the carpets.
