You really don’t have to get caught with your pants down,The Way To Back-Up Your WordPress Blog site So You Don't Lose Your Work Articles yes?

Creating a backup for your own WordPress Blog is one of these jobs that many people surprisingly disregard and just plain ignore.

Seriously, I don’t understand it.

Perhaps it’s because these people presume nothing bad could happen to all of their work they’ve worked so hard to publish and put up on their blog. With modern technology nowadays I do think folks have the thinking that website hosting companies are so advanced with redundancy in addition to file back-up that their host will take care of their site.

Don't bet on it.

You have already worked out the question 'why should you blog', for that reason do not lose all the hard work which you have put in to it!

You have already determined the challenge why, so don't lose all the hard work which you've put in to it!

I’m not necessarily suggesting that there aren’t exceptional webhosts in existence who'll operate web site back-ups to suit your needs because there are. However, suppose something occurred to their back-ups? You’re doomed, it's as simple as that. And once your blog data is gone…

It is very easy to back-up your WordPress blog site. And this won’t cost you a dime! Please read on…

Rather than give you a overview of WordPress plug ins you can look over to backup your website I’m gonna highly recommend the wordpress plugin that I use on my WordPress sites.

Of course, you are welcome to pay a visit to WordPress.org and look over a variety of back-up plug ins. I merely wanted to share with you what I utilize because I prefer it. It is obviously, your choice.

WordPress Database Backup

WordPress Database Backup is an effective wordpress plugin created by Austin Matzko. WordPress Database Backup produces a backup of your WordPress tables (tables are your data…posts, etc…) as well as other information that you can pick in the same database.

The plugin is easy to use. You can down load it here at this link: http://austinmatzko.com/wordpress-plugins/wp-db-backup/ and use your FTP program to upload it on your WordPress Plugin directory.

However as you may probably know these days, you can download and install plugins from your WordPress administrator page.

Just login to your WordPress blog, and then click the ‘Plugins’ link on the left sidebar then click on the ‘add new’ button around the top of the page. Then type in ‘WordPress Database Backup’ and it should be the 1st result. If it is not, it’ll be near the top. Then just click install, and go configure the plug-in.

Here’s an essential step that can't be disregarded. You actually have to make a backup of your website! Trust me, people forget to perform this step! Seriously, it's as vital as setting up your blog...so don't overlook this.

Now, it is possible to go in to your configuration settings and schedule automated backup copies. In spite of this, I like to do a back-up manually and after that save my back-up as a file. Might be I’m just paranoid.

You’ll notice at the top where you can run a back-up. The plugin will inform you once it’s finished.

What I advise you do next will be to save the backup file to some separate place such as a CD-ROM, external disk drive if you have one or maybe a provider such as Dropbox. I personally use Dropbox and simply put, Dropbox rules!

My professional recommendation is always to maintain a few backups of your blog. In other words, keep the previous 5 backups you carried out just to be safe. Better safe than sorry…right?

That’s it. Now you can now relax knowing that your blog’s information is safeguarded in the case of a problem and your web hosting company comes crashing down. Then you can certainly say, “Heh!! I’m backed up baby!”
