Advokat, advokater, advokatbistand, advokathjaelp
The European Commission and more than one advokat have taken legal action against several member states last month for not following a number of different EU telecommunications rules. The executive arm of the EU, which contains an advokat, has stated that it would file suit against the countries Romania and Bulgaria because they have not made the required emergency number, 112, available. This special number is required by all EU countries and is mandated in European law. The advokat for the Commission also sent a stern warning letter to Italy as well, because the system in place in this European country to handle these emergency calls is not sufficient. The European Commission monitors and polices the EU member states, to ensure that all the member states implement the EU laws and abide by them. Other countries were also the subject of court filings, including Poland and Cyprus. The advokat states that Poland is not handling the retail broadband Internet pricing in the country appropriately, and Cyprus is the defendant in a suit over how rights were granted for mobile network equipment to be placed on public land.
The advokat for the European country of Brussels has filed a claim against the countries of Lithuania and Latvia for infringement issues. The suits have been filed because of worries over whether telecommunication regulators are independent in these two countries, and have the ability to be impartial. A case has also been filed by an advokat against the country of Sweden, and this case is a result of concerns over the effectiveness of the regulators for telecom rules in this country as well. The European Commission enforces telecom rules for all of the EU member states, and when these rules and regulations are not followed the commission is not shy about using an advokat and filing a suit to force the member states to abide by the regulations and to comply with the telecom rules in effect. The commission has recently finished an investigation into confusing and deceptive practices by websites, a large percentage of which that target children and teens. These websites are using deceptive and misleading print and practices to get people to sign up for a paid subscription, which is also against specific telecom and communication rules, and they are using ads for free products without alerting the consumer that the subscription costs money. In this case as well an advokat may get involved to protect consumers and the public.
