which players are using steroids to enhance their performance. In past few years, several cases have been reported of players indulging in drug consuming cases. A few big names also came in front such as Lance Armstrong and recently convicted Indian boxer Vijender Singh. The use of drugs to enhance performance is considered unethical by most international sports organizations. Many sports organizations have banned the use of performance enhancing drugs and have very strict rules and consequences for people who are caught using them. In latest news, several prominent United States athletes have tested positive for these doping substances causing controversy throughout the sporting world. As per breaking news, Vijender Singh, the Olympic gold medalist has been found guilty in procuring alleged drugs from drug dealers. The famous Canada based drug dealer Anoop Singh Kahlon was arrested in March this year. A huge quantity of heroin worth Rs 126 crore was found from his house on the outskirts of Chandigarh. His arrest revealed that Vijender Singh and his companion Ram Singh took drugs from the convict in time period of December, 2012 and February, 2013. With Punjab Police tightening its noose on drug case, latest news has been revealed that the alleged boxer and drug king knew each other very well. Vijender Singh, also being DSP of Punjab Police has refused to cooperate in this issue and denied to provide blood samples for DNA testing. Ram Singh was immediately dismissed from his post as head constable after confessing drug consumption. The case of Vijender Singh is still in progress and will be charged heftily, as it diminishes the sports spirit of India.[View - world news]The use of performance-enhancing drugs in sport has become an increasing problem across a wide range of sports. Earlier this year, the well known seven times Tour Da France champion Lance Armstrong was found guilty of consuming several drugs for increasing endurance. The sources have revealed that not only Armstrong was found guilty in the case, but also his teammates were alleged of taking drugs. Since October 22, 2012 Lance Armstrong was officially stripped of all of his Tour de France titles since 1998 and further is no longer eligible to participate in any sport that comes under World Anti-Doping Code. Current news has also revealed that Lance Armstrong confessed in a show about consuming drugs for increasing his endurance. Well, this is not the first time in cycling that a person has been found guilty for consuming drugs. In 1998, the entire Festina team was banned from Tour Da France for using various performance enhancing drugs.
