Caring for Crewneck Sweaters Correctly

For long term storage, for instance during the summer months, the main worry is the threat of moths so making sure that all of the items are as clean as possible is very important. Another thing you should keep in mind is sweater fuzz. Some sweaters are more prone to developing fuzz than others and can make the sweater look old and ratty. Dealing with the fuzz can potentially ruin the sweater, so it is important to do it correctly and carefully. There are commercially available de-fuzzers, which shave the fuzzed up areas of the sweater without damaging the underlying thread structure. These should never be used on delicate sweaters or those that have ornamentation.
