The common name the articles created using spinning software are being referred to is – ‘Word Salad’. You have probably had a misfortune to see such texts on the Internet and immediately close whatever page you were on – repulsed by the view. They are easy to recognize,Why You Should Avoid Spun Articles At All Costs Articles being made of chopped words and phrases that, put together, have no meaning.

These ‘articles’ are being generated by special software, either automatically or manually, in an attempt to create plentitude of unique articles from a single one. This is being done by having the software replace the chosen words from your article with pre-defined synonyms. In most cases, these ‘synonyms’ are so poorly configured that the end result is a word salad that makes no sense whatsoever.

The spun articles are being generated by a number of SEO ‘experts’ who are littering the Internet with this garbage in an attempt to outsmart search engines and avoid the penalty that search engines are giving for duplicate content.

Here is an example of typical spun sentence, taken from one article directory that does not have human editors approving the submissions. :

“The very best in activities massage that will require use relating to best compression setting techniques are designed for doing any basketball player a lot of good.”

Your first reaction to the above lines probably was confusion. You understood the words, yet, somehow, together they did not make much sense. Now imagine that you had to read the whole article. You would probably go through a sentence more or two before navigating away in a search for something that you can both read and understand.

Such articles provide extremely lousy user experience and although the words do differentiate from the original copy, they are NOT unique. They are not providing any useful information and the authors using these words salads on their blogs or websites are losing their credibility big time.

If you are a writer who is building his or her authorship name and credibility, do not ever resort to spinning software. You should work hard on generating the original and fresh content that is informative and that your readers will appreciate. The more effort you invest in your writing – the more credibility and trust you will receive.

Do not mistaken article spinning with repurposing of your old content, though. The later is perfectly just and approved practice, as long as you are the author of the content that you are repurposing.
