Being able to coerce the customer into buying that extra warranty is impressive to your boss and is something that will get you promoted fast. Not being able to negotiate and close deals is one of the number one ways to lose sales and have customers walk out. Learning to negotiate is a tough thing to do and often times only comes with practice, but learning the basics through sales training is a great place to start and will start you out far ahead of all the people who don’t attend sales training. So no matter how great of a salesperson you think you are there is always room for improvement. If you want to become respected or make the jump to legendary sales person then perhaps it’s time to attend sales training. Hopefully sales training is something your company provides when they first hire you but if they don’t, there is plenty of other places you can go to receive it. It’s cheap and there are usually classes that will work within your schedule. The best part is it will make your job more enjoyable and that is something everyone needs in today’s world, to enjoy their jobs more.
