Let this day be the NOW that you take your rightful place in your life --- take charge of it!
Yesterday has come and gone, and even though it was today yesterday, it is no more here for us to live again. Was yesterday the today we had promised our family we would spend more time with them, the today we told ourselves we would read that book on how to improve ourselves, or was it the today we said we would start that business we always wanted?
Tomorrow will soon be here, and will become the today that will very quickly become yesterday, and will we still be telling ourselves and our family that tomorrow will be the day that we will play together...or, once again, will it become the yesterday that we will once again regret today???
Or will today be the today when we seize the NOW, the present, the time when we use our senses to truly discover all that is around us? Will this be the today when we spend true quality time with our family, and let them know through not only our words, but also through our actions, that we love them?
Walk outside, take several deep breaths, and become aware of all that is around us...let our lungs inhale the aromas in the air, let our eyes behold the beauty of the world, and our ears resound with the sounds of nature. Allow ourselfs the benefits of becoming part of nature, and rejoicing in living in an ever expanding universe, on an ever changing planet, in the best country in the history of this beautiful blue orb, and having thousands of opportunities to improve ourselves.
Even though he was speaking of something else, Albert Einstein once said:
“THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT THE NOW!”
Let this day be the NOW that you take your rightful place in your life --- take charge of it!
