Now that NFL Preseason Football is only days away,August 1st 2008: How To Win $1,000 Dollars on A $5 Dollar Sports Parlay Articles we will start giving out our 8-Team Parlays which have been quite successful in the past. We mix-up several sports to give you the best chance at winning big bucks!

Today's free sports pick features a team that is desperately looking for a win.

The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off an embarassing 4-game sweep at home by the Chicago Cubs. The Brewers were absolutely dominated by a Chicago Cubs team that was superior to the Brewers in every way possible. The Chicago Cubs got some really timely home runs from Jose Fukodome and Jim Edmonds -- two players who aren't expected to hit for power.

After closing in on the Cubs for a share of the lead in the NL Central, the Milwaukee Brewers were have been outscored by combined score of 42-17 in their last five games. Today, they'll have a chance to beat the Braves in a game that looks to be a slugfest on paper in a hitter's park.

The Braves will be bringing RHP Chuck James (2-3 W-L, 8.22 ERA) off of the DL to start today, while the Brewers will be starting RHP Jeff Suppan who gave up 8 earned runs against the Houston Astros in his last outing.

The Braves surprised a lot of people with a 9-4 win yesterday against the Cardinals; but, the consensus opinion around the league is that the Braves have conceded this season and are rebuilding for next year. They really can't be counted on for a home win these days; and, the Braves fans are not coming out to support the team like they did several weeks back.

The Brewers should win today behind a much better outing from Jeff Suppan.

Unraveling the Enigma of Matter Waves

Unraveling the Enigma of Matter Waves

In the quest to understand the fundamental nature of our universe, the concept of matter waves stands as a cornerstone of quantum mechanics. This article delves into the historical experiments that sought to measure the elusive properties of electrons, and the philosophical and scientific implications of those findings. We'll explore the intricacies of Robert Millikan's oil drop experiment, the charge-to-mass ratio, and the broader context of mass-energy equivalence in the realm of subatomic particles.
Does The Atom Really Exist?

Does The Atom Really Exist?

According to recorded history, the atom concept was developed by the ancient Greeks and the mathematician Democritus. The Greeks are credited with the discovery of the atom and the atom concept. Essentially, an atom is an indivisible component of matter. Or ... it can be thought of as matter in its simplest form. Since it is a component of matter ... you would naturally think that it has mass. This is logical and intelligent reasoning.
Who or What Created The Universe?

Who or What Created The Universe?

I would like to thank Kristen Herde for her contribution to this post...I was going to respond to your two earlier questions regarding the Big Bang. I don't subscribe to the theory ... I have a different one...it's a little bit ahead of it's time .. so people probably won't take it seriously until years later. As far as the zones of infinite density and how did they get there ... they got there using an extrapolation technique (if that makes sense)... Scientists / Mathematicians just extrapolated backwards and figured that all the matter in the universe may have come from one point. They have no idea where it came from.
