El Paraiso Golf on the Costa del Sol Golf is an attractive golf course which is being constantly improved.
Situated approx. halfway between Estepona and Marbella just off the N-340 Costa del Sol’s coast road which affords the golf course good access.
Designed by Gary Player in 1974 it was originally owned by Wimpey Homes and purchased by the members in 1996 and they continue to refine the layout and presentation.
The El Paraiso Golf clubhouse has a rustic Andalucian feel and a great atmosphere is situated right in the middle of the golf course between what used to be the green of the par four 3rd and the tee of the par three 17th hole, and affords a pretty view of the whole course.
In general, one could say that the El Paraiso Golf course is, in some ways, misleading, because the generosity of its fairways makes it seem easy, but the fact remains that, on either side, difficult obstacles constantly appear, with roughs that in many cases conceal lakes and streams that, while enhancing the natural beauty of the course, constitute a real hazard.
The beauty of the El Paraiso’s environment stands out on its own on a spot that holds par four 13th and par three 14th holes, with a lake bang in the middle, and thick groves around it.
El Paraiso Golf is one of the most picturesque golf course’s on the Costa del Sol Golf with it’s meandering streams running into lakes and large palms, all set against the beautiful mountain back drop.
