Today's free sports pick features two powerhouse AL teams looking towards making a deep run in the baseball playoffs and perhaps even a World Series appearance. The New York Yankees and the California Angels will play baseball today at Yankee Stadium. The New York Yankees just defeated the Baltimore Orioles last night 13-3; and, the Los Angeles Angels just swept the Boston Red Sox last night by a final score of 9-2.
The New York Yankees are perhaps looking a little worse than they actually are...while the Los Angeles Angels are looking a little better than they actually are. The New York Yankees just lost two of three to their AL East rivals, the Baltimore Orioles; while the Los Angeles Angels caught the Boston Red Sox in the midst of Manny Ramirez trade rumors and extremely poor pitching from their ace Josh Becket (somewhat of a surprise) and their struggling bullpen (not a surprise). Afterall, both the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Angels dominated the Boston Red Sox in Fenway Park.
The New York Yankees hope that Ivan Rodriguez can give their batting lineup a boost today. The New York Yankees acquired the catcher from the Detroit Tigers last night. Ivan Rodriquez replaces the injured New York Yankees catcher Jorge Posada who will miss the rest of the regular season with a shoulder injury.
The New York Yankees will be starting LHP Andy Pettite who has faired well against the Los Angels Angels in years past. The New York Yankees will face RHP Jon Garland of the Los Angeles Angels. If Jon Garland does not have a good day, the New York Yankees powerful left handed batting lineup will punish the Los Angeles Angels who are riding high on the heels of their surprising sweep of the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Take New York Yankees (-163) vs Los Angeles Angels

Unraveling the Enigma of Matter Waves
In the quest to understand the fundamental nature of our universe, the concept of matter waves stands as a cornerstone of quantum mechanics. This article delves into the historical experiments that sought to measure the elusive properties of electrons, and the philosophical and scientific implications of those findings. We'll explore the intricacies of Robert Millikan's oil drop experiment, the charge-to-mass ratio, and the broader context of mass-energy equivalence in the realm of subatomic particles.Does The Atom Really Exist?
According to recorded history, the atom concept was developed by the ancient Greeks and the mathematician Democritus. The Greeks are credited with the discovery of the atom and the atom concept. Essentially, an atom is an indivisible component of matter. Or ... it can be thought of as matter in its simplest form. Since it is a component of matter ... you would naturally think that it has mass. This is logical and intelligent reasoning.Who or What Created The Universe?
I would like to thank Kristen Herde for her contribution to this post...I was going to respond to your two earlier questions regarding the Big Bang. I don't subscribe to the theory ... I have a different one...it's a little bit ahead of it's time .. so people probably won't take it seriously until years later. As far as the zones of infinite density and how did they get there ... they got there using an extrapolation technique (if that makes sense)... Scientists / Mathematicians just extrapolated backwards and figured that all the matter in the universe may have come from one point. They have no idea where it came from.
