Coache definition of efficiency and performance is performing and winning. They are forever asking questions which is more concerned in performance and efficiency rather than athletes self regard and self esteem. “How are we doing?”, “Don’t you want to win?” are just few of coaches questions about efficiency clearly showing the classic ways of hierarchal coaching systems. This situation was experienced by Oracle. Ashby and Miles (2002) cited Oracle who was facing crisis in June 1992. Its culture win at any cost, the end always justify the means caused low morale and its effects on day-to-day operations was out of control since athletes no longer pay attention to rules either internally or during the game.
For a coach to evaluate employees as well as identify routines and visualization, he must know if the emotional and mental capacity of such athlete is stable or not. With these unmistakable blunders of practices, it is time to boost up the team or athletes morale to be able to improve satisfaction, decrease turn over, and increase teams effectiveness and performance.
Diagnostic process is the most critical part of a team development. This should provide an accurate diagnosis of the athletes needed improvement to be able to provide the right program in the athletes’ transformation process. The transformation process navigates toward it’s vision, with self-directed and flexible leadership in dealing with conflict and resistance; managing the polarity of change and stability; putting in place the structures, processes and climate needed for development; developing leaders in the team. It has a clear intention and actions directed at increasing the teams competence for self-management, ability to solve problems and address opportunities, capacity to adapt to new conditions and learn from experience and most of all, recognizes the boundaries of competence and operates within those boundaries.
In evaluating and profiling athletes as well as preparing routines and visualizations, a qualitative analysis shows all of the ideas and opinions surrounding the idea of EQ. This will look at one specific question—how do you test for EQ, when it’s a qualitative trait? These three major tests for EQ—the Emotional Intelligence Appraisal, the MSCEIT, and the Genos EI –can relate how they test EQ with athletes performance. Through this qualitative analysis, the idea of EQ can be seen as being real and important for a team.
