Brady leads Pats to win over Miami
An ex-Dolphin,
Wes Welker became the main weapon of Tom Brady and the Patriots in their impressive 38-24 victory over Miami, and it seems like Tom Brady is eager to receiver another NFL MVP title as he played outstandingly, throwing for 4 touchdowns and 517 yards, and also allowed New England to break their own franchise record in terms of yards as they finished the game with a total of 622. The Dolphins did a good job against the Pats, but their 12 men on defense failed severely in restraining Brady, allowing him and the AFC East current champions to start their regular season with the right foot.
Raiders win in Jackson’s debut
In despite of a brilliant career assisting other coaches, it is the first time Hue Jackson opens a season as the head coach of an NFL team, the Oakland Raiders whom are currently 1-0 after their victory over the Broncos by 23-20, while on the other side of the bench, John Fox lost on his debut as Denver’s head coach after spending 8 years in the same position with the Carolina Panthers.
Nadal praises Djokovic and his achievements after defeat
Novak Djokovic has won 4 grand slam titles during his career, 3 of those this year alone, including the US Open, his most recent one, and probably one of the toughest ones as he beat Rafael Nadal, whom had nothing but praises for the achievements of his rival by saying that “Obviously I’m disappointed but this guy is doing unbelievable things so congratulations Novak.” And the Serbian also had some comeback words for the Spaniard as he mentioned that “I’ve had an amazing year and it keeps going but every time I play Rafa it’s a big challenge and I want to congratulate him on a great tournament.
Ramirez in legal trouble, battery charges
A former World Series MVP who just retired this year mainly due to allegations concerning the usage of banned substances, Manny Ramirez’s is again on the headlines after charges of battery against his wife, who called the police after she was presumably attacked by the slugger. Ramirez spent one night in jail after he was released on bail by his sister, and if he is found guilty, he might spend one full year in prison.
