New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning found Plaxico Burress for the deciding score. In front of a record breaking US television audience the Giants beat the very much well-favored, untouchable New England Patriots, the historic commentary in the last minute was; “Manning takes the snap, back to throw, under pressure, avoids the rush and he's gonna...fight out of it, still fights out of it and then he throws it deep down field wide open Tyree who...MAKES THE CATCH! AT THE 23 YARD LINE! What a play by Manning!”
Eli Manning terrorized three Patriots defensive players which was followed by Tyree making a a huge jump to catch the ball and pressing the ball against his helmet. Eli Manning actually broke away from several defensive players to make the 32-yard pass to Tyree who wont the game for the Giants.
It was actually New York's third Super Bowl success after wins in both 1987 and 1991.
