Houston Texans Weekly Fantasy Football League Players to Watch

The Texans finished 2009 at 9-7,Texans Weekly Fantasy Football League players to watch Articles right above the .500 mark.
Despite their mediocre record, the Texans’ offense is in the fourth spot in the league in total yards per game with 383.1 yards per game.
The Texans’ defense wasn’t nearly as good, as they allowed 324.9 yards per game, placing them at the No. 13 spot in the league.

Key Draft Picks: That can help Weekly Fantasy Football Leagues
Out of their nine total picks in the draft, Houston had four of those picks go to the defense, and rightfully so. While the Taxans’s defense wasn’t absolutely terrible, they did allow 217.9 passing yards per game, which probably explains the 9-7 record.
To counter that 13 place ranking, the Texans nabbed Alabama’s Kareem Jackson. Jackson is a solid DB who had a great career during his three years with the Crimson Tide. Jackson collected 156 tackles, one forced fumble, and five interceptions. However, in his three years at Alabama, he had no sacks. This should be an area of concern for Houston, who wishes to improve upon 13th-ranked defense. Even still, he’s a good player who can make lots of plays.

The Texans picked up RB Ben Tate out of Auburn to supplement current RB Steve Slaton. Tate is deemed a “one-cut” back, is aggressive, and has good speed and power. Tate had a phenomenal 2009 season, as he had 1,362 yards on 263 carries and 10 touchdowns. His career at Auburn was phenomenal, too. During his four year career with the Tigers, Tate ran for 3,321 yards on 678 carries, and had 24 touchdowns. By far the most impressive thing about Tate’s tenure with the Tigers is that he had zero fumbles in his four years. Tate is an excellent RB and an outstanding pickup here for the Texans.

Key Free Agents that can help Weekly Fantasy Football Leagues:
The Texans made deals with three free agents in 2010, but only one of those free agents was a defensive player. Houston picked up LB Danny Clark from the New York Giants. Clark has 11 years in the NFL, but his numbers aren’t that impressive. In his 11 years, Clark has 609 tackles, seven sacks, eight forced fumbles, and two interceptions. Last season with the Giants, he only had 53 tackles. 53 tackles is pretty good, but his career numbers are somewhat lacking, especially for an 11 year veteran. Still, Clark is a good
