Who's The New FSU, Is It USC Or Florida?

14years in a row with a top 5 finish, 10 years in a row with 10 or more wins. 2 National Championships. It’s only been done by Florida State University’s football team.  More than a decade of domination in college football.  That’s a dynasty, one that hasn’t been duplicated not even by Notre Dame.  Will Florida State do it again?  We’ll see, until then who is it that will dominate?  Who will hold the title as dynasty?  Is it USC or Florida?

      As for Florida State doing it again, well it’s been 9 years since they have even been in a National Championship game much less won one.  They suffered back to back seven win six losses seasons.  They have won 4 ACC titles and had an appearance in the Orange Bowl and some others since then.  They are in the process of rebuilding their program to national prominence.  They have had top 10 recruiting classes in the past two years and are on their way to building another one for the 2010 class.  In 2008 they went 9-4.

     USC has been dominating since about 1999.  They have won the National Championship twice since 1999, in 2005 and 2004 and have won the PAC-10 championship 6 times since 1999.  They have gone seven years in a row with 10 or more wins.  They have gone seven years in a row with a top 10 recruiting class.  They are highly looked upon by athletes looking to play football at the university level.

     The University of Florida is the most recent of universities to have success in college football.  They won the National Championship 2 out of the past 3 seasons and have won 3 SEC titles since 1999.  They’ve had a top 10 recruiting class 5 out of the past 8 years.  They are the model of top college football programs in the world.

     So who holds the title as “the New FSU” is it USC or Florida.  They have both had success in the last 10 years and have both won 2 National Champiuonships in the last 10 years.  They have both won conference titles in the past 10 years.  USC has won more games in the past 10 years.  They are on pace to be the next team to go 10 years in a row with 10 or more wins.  “The New FSU” would be The University of Southern California.
