Samsung and Sharp have always been one of the leading manufacturers of innovative and exciting designs for their Blu-ray DVD Players. Bringing us the world slimmest player in Samsung's BD-P4600 model and Sharps BDHP90U,2011 Blu-ray Disc Players - Samsung and Sharp Have Brand New Features Articles which could be wall mounted or be displayed vertically. Samsung - Samsung is manufacturing no less than seven new players for 2011 - BD-D7500, BD-D7000, BD-D6700, BD-D6500, BD-D5700, BD-D5500, BD-D5300, The flagship model and winner of the 2011 Best of Innovation Awards at CES is Samsung's BD-D7500. Going even slimmer than the BD-P4600, it is just a mere 0.9 inches deep. But this small and stylish 3D player does not rely on looks alone, it is packed with great features like converting 2D images to 3D images. It has Built-in Wi-Fi, Ultra Fast Play (3 second boot time), DLNA certification and streaming online services providing movies, music, photos and social networking.

Building on the very successful Samsung apps of last year, Samsung is releasing the Smart Blu-ray. A new application interface will give the user with many easy to use services. This new Smart Hub will include the ability to search for online content for your TV, the feature Your Video will let you watch and preview video that has been recommended for you based on your viewing history. And of course you have access to Samsungs apps which has now more than 200 apps that can be downloaded in the U.S. Samsung apps give us a wide range of free and paid services that will bring you countless hours of entertainment, whether it be sports, movies, TV shows, music or social networking.

Samsung is also introducing the One Foot Connection feature. When the blu-ray is paired with a Samsung wireless router, the setup process is a breeze and hassle-free. You place the Blu-ray DVD Player within one foot of the wireless router which will establish a connection. Once connected the player can now be placed anywhere within your home and it will maintain its connection.

Prices for the new Samsung's Blu-ray Players range from $150.00 to $200.00 for the entry-level players (BD-D5300, BD-D5500, BDD-5700). $230.00 to $300.00 for the mid-range players (BD-D6500, BD-D6700). And $350.00 for the BD-D7500.

Sharp - The Sharp Electronics Corporation announced three new Blu-ray Disc Players at the 2011 CES in Las Vegas. The three Blu-ray Players, the BD-HP75U ($329.99), the BD-HP35U ($299.99), and the BD-HP25U ($249.99) are all 3D capable and have Wi-Fi capability. However, if you want to have a wireless connect with the BD-HO25U you will need to purchase a USB dongle, which is sold separately. All Blu-ray DVD Players provide 1080p/24 fps video playback, Super Picture DVD Up-Scaling, DLNA, support for Dolby TrueHD with lossless 7.1 channel audio reproduction, and DTS-HD Master Audio, and access to online streaming content such as Netflix, VUDU, YouTube and Pandora. Also,  as with all Sharp devices, you get their great features AQUOS LINK™ Function and AQUOS PURE MODE, which provides optimal picture and sound when paired with other Sharp devices.
