Before starting a weight loss program,Simple Knowledge of terms and Tips for Initiating Weight Loss Articles you should know some simple terms and tips to initiate weight loss.

(1)  DIET:  As you probably know, the word “DIET” refers to
your daily food consumption.   You are actually on a diet every day.  So to
lose weight, you need to simply alter or change your diet. The problem is
that it’s not so simple if you don’t know what to change or how to change
it.  And believe me, for many years I struggled too with that same problem.
But since discovering the Guardian Angel Diet six years ago, I lost 60
pounds in 11 weeks, and through my own trial and error through the years
have found ways to maintain my weight and actually keep it off.

As an example, the average American gains anywhere from 8 to 10 pounds
during the holiday season.  I have managed to stay within my target weight range within
1 to 3 pounds during the holiday season.  And believe me, I didn’t deprive myself from any of the holiday goodies,  I would just simply spread it out throughout the day.

(2)  CALORIE: Another important “Dieting” term is the word, “Calorie.” A
calorie is just another word for “Energy.” So your body runs on the
energy you feed it. You should be giving your body enough energy to keep
you going throughout the day, but not too much energy (in other words, too
many calories) that your body has to end up storing the rest of those
calories, which in turn gets stored as fat, and ultimately results in
weight gain.

As an example, and great “dieting tip” of this is: people get way too
many calories only from what they drink in a day.  If they’d just simply
alter what they drank throughout the course of a day, they would
probably start to see weight loss. So eliminating sugary drinks can
actually start the weight loss process.  If someone is drinking, say, four
12-ounce sodas per day, they’re actually taking in anywhere from 620 to
720 calories alone per day in their diet, depending on the type of soda,
as some are higher in sugar than others. By simply changing to non-sugary
drinks, diet soda instead of regular or even just reducing the amount of sugary drinks per day, their bodies would start to burn off more of the FOOD that they’re eating instead of having to try and burn off what they’ve consumed in beverages.

(3)  READ LABELS:  Another important tip is to read what you eat.  Make it a habit to find out exactly how many calories you’re taking in throughout the day, even if at this point you‘re not limiting your calorie intake, at least know on average how many calories a day you are taking in.

The Guardian Angel Weight Loss Guide has a Maintenance Plan where you learn
how to adjust your calorie intake per day to fit you personally, because each one of us are uniquely different.  So a 2000-calorie per day diet may be too little for
one person and perfect for another, and vice versa. Another feature of
the Maintenance Plan is that you receive a Calorie Log and Calorie Chart
where you can find out how many calories are in what foods and keep track
of it in your own daily Calorie Log.

I hope this information has been informative and useful in your
weight-loss endeavor. I wish you much success. I truly and sincerely
remember how it feels to be overweight and just not knowing what to do.
