A great exercise for improved results in 6 Week Body Makeover.
When I undertook the Provida Michael Thurmond makeover known to most of us as 6 Week Body Makeover I was very impressed by how the program drilled down the science of what food can do for or against or fitness goals.
Like many users, I enjoyed not having to work out super hard like I did in say P90X. The pounds had a way of seeming like they were just melting away, as I actually ate more and more food throughout the day. I rarely experienced bloat or discomfort like I had under my old way of eating. I was mostly comfortable although I do agree with the view of many that I missed salt. I missed it a lot. The food did get bland, but mostly that was my own doing for not having suitable approved recipes lined up.
Having a background in fitness and being more active than what is common for most users who take on Provida Michael Thurmond makeover, I was able to gain some insight of what activities work well in conjunction with a journey through the 6 weeks. First, right off the top I want to say that the program more than met my needs as an active person. I have read reviews where some complained they were undernourished. I don’t see how that is possible frankly, but everyone’s metabolism operates differently. I will venture a guess that for these people there was a disconnect between reality and the questions they answered in the body blueprint.
When I started experimenting with different activities that I thought could work as a nice adjunct to what the program was calling for, I noticed that relaxation really helped. I added a 10 minute Yoga session 2 days per week after the last meal of the evening. This habit greatly enhanced digestion and left me feeling extremely mentally alert and calmed by mind. If you throw this in with the focused exercise already in the Provida Michael Thurmond program you will see even more accelerated results. All told, you are still working out less than 1 hour for an entire week. Set this off against working out like that 6 days a week in many home workout programs and you can see that this is the way to go if you aren’t all that active.
What we get from Yoga is a huge return on an already well-conceived program, without any added body stress or impact pounding. These are the things that take us away from exercise in the first place. We don’t need it.
