World’s Longest Married Couple

“Marriages are made in Heaven”, heard this since childhood. Today, marriages are made on a road, that’s what I believe. Because I have seen many several separating and splitting their interaction like they have never met before. On the globe complete of self-centeredness and independence, really this NRI couple had made an awesome history of residing with each other in one real regards of wedding for 87 years. Karam Chan and his spouse Katari Chand lives in Bradford, United Kingdom. They are generally from Punjab and I do not think so that they get a same type of sensation like one gets in Punjab. “Apna Desh to Apni Mitti Ki Khushbu ki tarah hamesha yaadon me rehta hai”, it doesn’t matters wherever you live. To keep a relation bonded is not so easy in a western country where you get many better options than the one in India.  Many people do not take into account the quality of relationships, types of opportunities and the styles of recreation when it comes to living on a farm to living in a city. The quality of relationships are very diverse between rural living and urban style living. When people stop and think about living on a farm, they think about wide open fields with a barn filled with cows and chickens. As opposed to when they think about a big city, bright lights and bumper to bumper traffic with the air filled with smog, and the various amounts of people walking the sidewalk are the type of things that may come to mind. If one lives on a farm, usually the individual has a closer bond with the family primarily because they all live under the same roof. Being that their friends or relatives do not live near, they have a lot more interactions with the family thus making them closer and tighter knit. The neighbours, who may live five to ten miles down the road, may have a lot more communications with rural families. By the same token, a person that lives with in a city might not have relatives living under the same roof. That also means fewer relations with their neighbours. People who live in the city may have outings with the family once or twice a week to a local restaurant or another similar family oriented activity. Living in such a city, kills the feelings and the wish of living for the people from farm i.e. Punjab. But this NRI couple have made it, really made it, what? A record, no, but a strong relation and has taught a lesson to each and every person of relationship. It’s god to learn from them for married couples. Because they were never married or not lived together for so long to just bring their name in records. But it is the love, faith and understandings among each other which kept them together for so long. This couple might have seen so many ups and downs in their lives. So, I don’t ask from god for anything else than their health and more happy life together. My salute to this relationship of husband and wife.
