Updated July 21, 2015 I have been a Day Care Accountant, handling the unique needs of the industry since the late 90’s. During that period, the industry has changed dramatically. The availability of grants for lower income individuals has been significantly reduced. As day care tax accountants. we have needed to change not only how we have performed services, but have added services to help our clients maintain or acquire the grants that they so desperately need. In that time frame, we have also seen The Internal Revenue Service significantly increase the enforcement of existing payroll tax laws. When we started, most of the teachers, teacher’s aides, and workers at neighborhood day care facilities were treated as independent contractors. Now in order to properly protect our clients, most of that has changed to an employee relationship. What has not changed is our commitment to quality.
