Candidates from streams such asCeramics, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Mining etc can join SAIL as a mechanical trainee(MT).
Eligibility:
For technical MTs, thecandidate should hold aminimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the eligible stream with above 65% aggregate marks.
For non-technical MTs, thecandidate should hold bachelor’s degree from any stream with aminimum of 65% aggregate marks.
Age and other relaxation are available for reserved category candidates as per government norms.

Candidates shortlisted from the written test are called for the Group Discussion, Personal Interview round. Candidates are given the offer letter based on a merit list.
To prepare for SAIL MT exam the aspirants should concentrate on their core streams domain, the exam is fairly tough. Technical basic should be clarified along with intense numerical practice during the preparation time. Also, attention should be given on to reduce the time required to solve the questions.
