Once you have decided for the way you want to go, the next process is to set an advertisement plan for it. The process of IT Recruitment is much similar to that of the other appointments but it has some differences too. Evaluate the job description and job specification carefully as it provides the basic guide for recruitment. You must mention clearly the basic IT skills required for the job. In a good job description you must include the following things: purpose of the job, task and responsibilities, describe the main purpose of the job in one sentence, elaborate the main task, the degree of accuracy required, description of any material or equipments used etc. A good job description is very useful for recruiting the right personnel.

The next step in IT Recruitment is the Person Specification. It helps the organization to give a sketch about the ideal person to fill the job. The skills, aptitudes, experience and knowledge must be in accordance with the requirements of the job. But never set unnecessary recruitments as you may lose some good potential persons. The things which must be kept in mind while drawing person specifications are: expertise, knowledge, capacity for the job, specific experience and competencies required. You must mention all this in detail because these discriminates the best suited professional from the others. If you do not remain precise and fail to prescribe the important skills, the entire struggle for recruitment will go in vain. After job description, job specification and person specifications, the next element is pay scales, grades and negotiated agreements. These are set according to the market trends and the importance of the job.
