The test is very straight forward with a goal of wanting to know what you'll do on the job. That means you don't have to worry about memorizing useless information. They want to know that you can do the job right, so they're going to ask you things you'll face on the job. The questions will sound like 'what will you do if...', 'how do you...', and 'how should you...' They want to know that you can handle the job, so that's what they're going to ask you about.

The police officer selection test is hard, so I think when it comes to studying that you have to focus on the application of the knowledge. After you learn something new, try applying it to odd situations that you could face as an officer. This helps to demonstrate that you understand what it means to be a cop.
