An effective 5 megapixel digital camera is installed on the handset, and does a great job of taking high quality still images, thanks to a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944. Included features of the camera are autofocus and an LED flash, both of which greatly help in taking quality imagers. Users also have the option to record video footage using the camera, thanks to the ability to record WVGA quality video at 15 frames per second.

The combination of the Android OS with HTC Sense UI and a powerful 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor means that the HTC Desire offers lightening fast response times on the touch screen, whilst demanding applications are run with ease. Entertainment features include a versatile media player, games and radio player, whilst social networkers are treated to FriendStream and a number of dedicated applications for FaceBook and Twitter.

All in all, the HTC Desire is sure to appeal to just about every type of mobile phone user, thanks to its extensive spec list, and the versatility of its operating system, not to mention its great aesthetics.
