The new Incredible S handset from HTC brings to the table all of the great specification you have come to expect from one of the brands phones,HTC Releases The Great Incredible S On UK Networks Articles but in a design that if very different from other models within the range.HTC have always attempted to bring duotone colour into their models, with different coloured back panels or metallic strip breaking up what would otherwise be a fairly plain look.  However it seems the designers have decided that plain is good, thus this new handset sports a back panel in a midnight black finish finished in a soft touch plastic.  This coupled with the natural darkness of the display makes for a pleasing look that is also enhanced by the rear panel not being totally flat, but incorporating moulded shapes that mirror what the inside of the phone may look like.  This is certainly the nicest looking phone from HTC, and the look is maintained when the screen is turned on and the glorious display kicks into life.  At 480 x 800, the resolution on this screen is great, and at 4 inches in size, it nestles nicely between the Desire S and the Desire HD in terms of size.  Another area where this phone performs well is in the battery life department.  A 1450mAh battery is supplied which is bigger than the unit that comes with the Desire HD, so coupled with the slightly smaller screen here the phone easily outlasts its stablemate with standby times of around 370 hours and 3G talktime of 6 hours and 20 minutes. The HTC Incredible S is the perfect phone for browsing the web thanks to its large display coupled with its excellent connectivity options.  Whilst on the move users benefit from connection to the 3G network which gives the fastest possible data transfer speeds.  EDGE and GPRS are also accommodated, providing viable backup should 3G not be accessible.   The best experience comes however when connected to WiFi, with the Incredible S supporting all three currently recognised speeds.  The handset is shipped with the Android operating system installed in its Froyo 2.2 version, with HTC insisting that an upgrade will soon be made available for 2.3 gingerbread.  Processor wise the phone offers a 1Ghz chip coupled with 768MB of RAM, ensuring that all tasks performed on the phone are done so at a very fast pace. The HTC Incredble S continues the manufacturers tradition of good looking handsets that offer cutting edge technology in a package that is a real pleasure to use.The HTC Incredible S and the Commtiva N700 are available now.
