Sony Play Station a 32-bit video game console was produced by Sony Computer Entertainment in December 1994 marking a revolution in the field of video games. Early gamers used to experience skipping of full-motion video or dreaded physical "ticking" noises from the PlayStations. Sony launched the smallest version of its Play Station, PS one in 2000, which was about one-third smaller than the original PlayStation.

It was the first of the series of console and hand-held game devices. The PlayStation didn’t miss the chance to generate interest in the market with a lot of advertisement campaigns. The PlayStation is considered as one of the longest production runs in the video game industry. The user found it difficult to officially make actual game discs as the amount of space was small.
