The Google Nexus S represents the next generation of the Google Nexus series. The original handset was manufactured by HTC, however Google have opted for Samsung to produce this instalment of the franchise.

The Google Nexus S relies on both GPRS and EDGE to provide it with its initial means of internet access and wireless network connectivity. Additionally, Wi-Fi can be utilised for fast internet browsing and download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps in 3G covered areas can be enjoyed thanks to HSDPA. Bluetooth is included alongside micro USB, DLNA and GPS for additional connectivity options.

 

The Google Nexus S is an impressive digital camera on account of the 5 megapixel offering which is capable of taking very high quality snapshots. This is thanks to autofocus, touch focus, LED flash and an operating pixel resolution of 2592x 1944. As an additional means of image capture, the camera can also shoot high definition video footage at a rate of 30 fps in WVGA quality.

 

The Android OS (v2.3, Gingerbread) works in harmony with a 1 GHz processor to provide a customisable and versatile interface. The processor provides the power to run demanding applications with ease and keeps the interface running quickly and smoothly.
