Since completing one’s order in this fashion requires fewer steps it is much faster for the customer, meaning more conversion rates for the seller. Cart abandonment is much less of a problem with this type of checkout and it is considerably more user friendly. Since one of the biggest problems for websites today is cart abandonment and one page checkout reduces this then websites need to seriously consider incorporating this software into their site. 

One thing you will want to look for in one page checkout software is the “guest’ checkout option. Lots of times individuals find an item they want to buy online. However, they don’t want to take the time to sign up for an account, confirm their address, and jump through a lot of hoops just to buy the product. Allowing these ecommerce shoppers the option of checking out as a guest will considerably increase the chances that they will complete their order. Of course, users still have the option of creating an account or logging in to check out. In some cases this will be more beneficial to the ecommerce shopper. However, for customers who don’t care to create an account or log in then they can shop anonymously. Part of the cart abandonment issue is due to privacy concerns. When a user is able to checkout anonymously this particular reason for cart abandonment is eliminated. As a result, more shoppers will complete their purchase. 

Something else to consider with one page checkout software is whether or not there are customizable fields that will allow you to collect important information from your customers. For example, fields that allow for questions like “Was your shopping experience easy today?” or “How did you find us?” Information like this will be very helpful to your website and attracting future customers and improving the ecommerce experience.
