Assisting people who are in need is a wonderful job field to go into. Not only is there usually plenty of work but it’s a very rewarding feeling to know that you are helping those in need. If you plan on keeping your certification then you’ll need to attend a few classes a year. There are many different social work continuing education classes available for you to choose from.

Depending on what your certification requirements are you might have to take multiple classes in a given year. The thing you’ve got to determine is whether you want to travel to a live class where you’ll have to sit for hours in a classroom or auditorium? For many people it’s the best way for them to ensure that they get their CE credits. While you will still have to pay for the courses, each site varies on what the charges are. Some sites will charge a flat fee per course while others will charge a fee per hour of credit that you will receive at the end of the class. On most of these sites the charges are minimal and you just need to know how they bill so that you aren’t surprised by extra charges at the end of the class.

You’ll have a lot of opportunities available to you as far as what types of classes you can take. If you specialize in a certain area you might be required to take certain classes. If not then you will have a wonderful opportunity to remain up to date on either a handful of areas that interest you or broaden your knowledge on an area that you might not deal with on a day to day basis.
