SRM University: Courses & Facilities

SRM University is one of the best private institutes in India. Both Undergraduate and Post graduate courses of various career streams are offered by the university. Where engineering is one of the most sought out programs of the university but MBBS, MBA, Fashion Designing and Hotel Management are also some of the programs that are offered by the university.

SRM University conducts its own entrance exam to shortlist students for its programs. The selected students are then called in for counseling and based on their scores they are offered different campuses. The Chennai campus is the main university campus. The university conducts SRMJEE for B. Tech courses, SRMCAT for MBA programs and SRMGEET for M. Tech programs.

SRM institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology offers programs in hotel management. The institute provides a hotel within the campus. The training to students for the same is provided there.  This kind of facility is very much different. There are many campus facilities provided to the students. The college promotes extracurricular activities along with academic excellence. The campus has a cricket and football ground, swimming pool; many indoor games such as table tennis, chess, and carom are also promoted. There are many clubs and societies for various activities such as dance, music, dramatics, art etc.

SRM University provides friendly environment to international students. All international students are given special scholarships (if applicable) and support system. National students act as a mentor and help them to adjust to the Indian system of education. SRM University also has a great alumni network. They provide internship and placement opportunities to students and also participate in various activities.

The application fees is non- refundable and can be paid in both online and offline mode.  This year the placement for the university has been excellent. Great companies such as Amazon, SAP, Dell, E&Y etc came for campus placement. The highest salary offered was 15 LPA by DE Shaw. Other Mass recruitment companies such as TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro etc also hired a lot of students.
