Why we use building block to teach children?

The earliest wooden block were published in the late 18th century and were considered a part of practical learning experience. They were intended to teach children to join many small pieces into one whole and to create different objects. They are the premier education toys and are sometimes referred to as the rational toys.

The material used in making wooden block is safe for the children as small children have a habit of putting everything into their mouth. The material is completely harmless for the child. Wooden block are made of non toxic material and wood that does not harm the toy if the child makes it wet and the quality stays the best lifelong. It has alphabets or pictures embossed in it and when it is collectively put together, it makes a meaningful structure, which helps in the simulation of small brains.

Educational toys like the wooden block are the best present parents can give to their children in the early ages of their lives. These rational toys facilitate the child’s mental and aesthetic growth. They help them learn construction in the very early ages. Not only this but also they help the child learn the basics of education via pictures, symbols and alphabets that are there on the blocks.

Classical learning toys are used in schools as well by teachers because they are a source of eliciting child’s imagination from inside rather than outside. Children begin playing with them at a very early age and continue playing with them until the age of 10. Until that stage of their age, they would probably have mastered the art of construction of any shape and every shape. In addition, wooden blocks are very special because a child can make thousands of new objects when put together so every time they get wonderful new shapes and new meanings hence they never get bored from it.

Small children show particular interest in toys like building blocks starting from just looking at them and showing them to their parents, they then try to stack them into piles of different shape. This evidently shows that wooden block as if toys stimulate child’s imagination and facilitate their mental growth.

Briefly, we can say along with building blocks; wooden block is also as meaningful as building blocks. It really meant to build child’s mental growth. In addition, it may enhance a child to be a civic engineer of his time.
