How to Add a Second Yahoo Account on Android Device

Your Yahoo Mail App can be the primary destination for all your email activities. You can go ahead and add as many Yahoo accounts you have. On top of that, you can also link other email accounts as well to send and receive emails right from the Yahoo app. In future if for some reasons you change your mind, no problem! You can remove or unlink the other email account anytime you feel like.

Find out the steps below to add a second Yahoo account on your Android device.

1. Unlock your Android Smartphone.
2. Install the Yahoo Mail App or click on the “Settings” icon if already installed.
3. Press the “Accounts” button.
4. Press the “Add another mailbox”
5. Enter the Yahoo Email address and click on the “Add mailbox” button.
6. Enter the password of the account you are adding while pop-up appears.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions.
8. Click “Done”
9. Click “Save”

You can change the name, description, signature of the newly added email. Press the “Settings” button then click on Accounts. Select the account and then change the name, description, reply-to address or signature etc. Click on the Save button when finished.

Sending email from the newly added account: The account which you have added will appear on the top left-hand side. You must select the account first if you wish to compose a new email.

Receiving & accessing emails:  On the top left-hand side, you will see a number of incoming emails on each account. You can select the one you are supposed to access. The moment you will select the account, you will the same inbox corresponding to that account only.

Remove an email account: If you change your mind then you can remove the account which you added earlier any time.

1. Go to the gear like icon “Settings”
2. Tap on “Accounts”
3. Select the desired account.
4. Press the “Remove mailbox”
5. Tap on “Remove mailbox” again to confirm.

On the other hand, you can also add your second Yahoo Mail account on the Android device settings as well but it would be of no use as Google has recently stopped supporting it. If you still add it, there would be no backup of contacts, images videos, transcripts of chats (Instant Messaging Applications) and no calendar synchronization. If you have recently upgraded to the new version of the Android, then you won’t see any option to add secondary Yahoo Mail for the synchronization purpose then simple dial Yahoo helpline number.
